What to Wear for Your Long Motorcycle Ride
There is probably no better way to experience the open road than riding a motorcycle. However, to be able to do so, you need to wear proper attire as it will not only help you avoid looking ridiculous while you are driving, but will also keep you comfortable and safe during your trip. With this in mind, take a look at this list on what to wear for your long motorbike ride.
First on the line is the head gear. Whether you are required to or not, be sure to wear one as it will be your main defence against accidents. For this, you need to choose one that fits you perfectly, not too loose and not too tight, or else you might feel uncomfortable after a few minutes of driving. Second, if your helmet does not have a visor, you will also need a pair of sunglasses. Not only will this protect you from the sun's blinding reflection on the road, but it will also help keep dust and insects away from your eyes. Remember, every time you blink carelessly, you are putting yourself in danger.
Third, whether the climate is hot or cold, wear a jacket that covers your arm. Leather-made ones are advisable as they can provide extra protection against cuts and bruises in case a minor accident happens. Next, if you are driving on a rainy season, then be sure that your raincoat is especially made for motorcycle drivers as ordinary ones can tear at high speeds. Finally, put on a pair of boots or shoes with soles that are made up of hard materials to protect your ankle if it catches the rough road.
